INCOMING ¦10¦05¦2006¦23:49¦

While it's in an embryonic state at the moment, I thought you'd like to know.

We've begun work on a new band, called THE RADIO STARS. It's kind of a mix of modern indie and 60s/70s mod rock. Think of bands like Kasabian, The Animals, the Beatles, The Who, The Killers & White Rose Movement blended together and that's kinda what we're going for.

We won't be gigging for a couple months yet, as we need to spend some time sorting out the technicalities of our live set, and getting comfy in our roles in the band. From Goteki, the band features Ali Star and Edy Green ( bass and guitar respectively ), with me singing and playing lead guitar. We're also sorting out two other live members ( drummer and keys ), so we'll keep you posted.

THE FINAL GIG ¦01¦05¦2006¦20:19¦

robotochan
Well there we go, Goteki all finished! It did feel weird, weirder than I thought even. Six years of my life is no small amount of time, and I'll miss performing some of those songs. I was really pleased with the gig though, the sound seemed solid, the crowd was up for it, the venue was cool and the rest of the bands were wicked. Plus Clive and Lilian both came, which was really cool.

So yes. All done!

This gig was made super ace by the people doing these things:

Rosie: Joining us for the last couple of gigs, driving us around and generally making sure I don't die in a ditch
Ali & edy: Working hard so that we didn't sound poo
Roxy & Dave: Lugging all our gear around and transporting to and from brizzle, and keeping me out of the rain
Tails: Generally crazed northerner duties!
Iris: Being the ace texan synthstars that they are
Suzerain: Lending us tuners in exchange for tail's mexican food
Client: Being electro-girls to the max, Emily's ace!
Trauma Pet: Soldiering on with soldiers missing! And lending us cables
De/Vision: helping me sleep fnart!
Sophie & Holly: turning up and making every male I know hang around waiting to be introduced
Elina: Letting us barge in all wet and pass out on her floor
Norgate: The usually comedyness, even though we seemed to miss each other for about 98% of the festival!
Everyone else: everything else

Over and out. Beep!
